The Rab Valiance Waterproof Down Men's Jacket combines substantial down insulation with a fully waterproof outer, making it a particularly useful option for cold, wet winter conditions. While many insulated down jackets are designed primarily for warmth, the Valiance adds the protection of a 40D Pertex® Shield 2-layer waterproof and windproof outer.
Inside, 700 fill-power recycled down with a hydrophobic finish provides the main insulation, with 205g of down used in a men's size medium. Rab has also used a synthetic-insulated neck baffle, close-fitting inner cuffs and an insulated front zip baffle to help retain warmth and reduce draughts.
The longer cut and regular fit are designed to work over additional layers, while the adjustable hood, zipped hand pockets and internal security pocket add practical detail for everyday outdoor use and winter hill walking.
