Barbour Beadnell Women's Waxed Jacket – Bark
The Barbour Beadnell Women's Waxed Jacket in Bark adapts the practical heritage of the iconic Barbour Bedale into a flattering silhouette designed especially for women. Made from Barbour's signature 6oz waxed cotton, it offers dependable everyday weather resistance while retaining the distinctive character and durability expected from a traditional Barbour wax jacket.
A sit-down corduroy collar and cotton tartan lining provide the unmistakable Barbour finish, while angled handwarmer pockets and generously sized bellows pockets keep everyday essentials close at hand. Press-studded rear vents allow greater freedom of movement, making the Beadnell equally suited to countryside walks, everyday errands and weekends in town.
The interactive design also allows a compatible zip-in liner to be added separately when extra warmth is required.
Find your perfect fit – view our Size Chart under the price
Based on our experience fitting the Beadnell in store, we classify it as a regular fit. Although it has feminine shaping through the body, it is not an especially close-fitting jacket. Most customers should begin with their usual UK size. Consider the amount of knitwear or an optional zip-in liner you plan to wear underneath, and check the size chart if you are between sizes.

Frequently Asked Questions
The 6oz waxed-cotton outer is water-resistant rather than fully waterproof. It provides useful protection during showers and everyday changeable weather, but it is not a seam-sealed waterproof jacket. Maintaining the wax finish will help preserve its weather resistance.
Based on our practical retail experience, the Beadnell has a regular women's fit with feminine shaping. Most customers should begin with their usual UK size rather than automatically sizing up. Check the size chart and consider your intended layers if you are between sizes.
The Beadnell is based on the practical design of the iconic Barbour Bedale but has been adapted with a more feminine silhouette and proportions designed for women.
The Beadnell is not heavily insulated. It can be worn over knitwear or combined with a compatible zip-in liner when additional warmth is required.
The Bark Beadnell is compatible with women's interactive liners, including the Barbour Betty Interactive Women's Liner in Dark Olive. The liner is sold separately and zips securely inside the jacket.
The Beadnell has collar studs designed for a compatible Barbour waxed hood. A matching Bark hood is not currently available from Allweathers.
Do not machine wash the Beadnell. Allow any surface mud to dry before gently brushing it away, then sponge the jacket with cold water when necessary. The wax finish can be renewed periodically to help maintain its appearance and weather resistance.
